audience 英[ˈɔ:diəns] 美[ˈɔdiəns],基本意思是“观众;听众;读者”,作名词使用。它是一个集合名词,大多以单数形式出现,既可以表示单数意义,也可以表示复数意义。作为整体用做主语,谓语单数;考虑集体中的成员时,谓语用复数。audience有复数形式audiences,是可数名词,用的比较少。
