reading “the emperor"s new clothes”， i had to let out a burst of laughter over his fool。 “the little match girl” couldn"t keep me from crying for her misery。 “robinson crusoe” took me into a strange world full of danger。 and i was also deeply impressed by helen keller"s patience and perseverance… besides these， books also tell me other thing -how to be a man and how to tell the difference between right and wrong。 in a word， good books can make me know what i didn"t before。 so i think of a good book as my best friend。
i"ll never forget this famous saying，“good books are best friends who never turn their backs upon us。”
different people have different hobbies. but in my opinion ,books are our best friends.to read a good book is just like talking with a great person. so i think we should choose reading books as our hobby.
here are my reasons. first of all, books introduce us to a new world, which is colorful and without time and space limit. through reading,we can get back to ancient egypt,the cradle of human civilization. it can bring us to the ynited states, an attractive land i have been longing to visit. secondly, rading can imrove ourselves by showing us a new horizon. in the past years, most of our knowledge has been got from books. we have learned from many people by reading about their ideas on science,politics,life and society.thirdly,reading bridges the gap between our dreams and our goals. in order to succeed in the future, we must keep reading,thinking and practicing.
