篇三十四：我最快乐的时候 My Happiest Time

   If you ask me something about my happiest time, I'll answer like this.

   如果你问我什么时候最快乐，我会说这样回答。

   I don't know exactly about my happiest time, because every day I'm living is the happiest time for me. I always keep a good mood. Every day I'm happy at work. When I'm at work, I always do my best, so my boss is satisfied with me. I get on well with my colleagues as well, since I'm always willing to help them. No wonder I have so many friends. That is to say, I am happy when I am working.

   我不知道确切的最快乐的时光，因为我活着的每一天都是我最快乐的时光。我总是保持一个好心情。我每天都很快乐的工作。在我工作的时候，我总是努力做到最好，所以我的老板对我很满意。我和同事相处得很好，因为我总是愿意帮助他们。难怪我有很多的朋友。也就是说，当我工作的时候我很高兴。

   What's more, my best friends Phillip and Oscar always speak English with me. Every time, they bring me a very big surprise. They help me a lot. Thanks to their help, my oral English is getting better and better. I don't know how to appreciate them. Keeping learning makes me happy, too.

   而且，我最好的朋友菲利普和奥斯卡总是和我说英语。每次他们都让我大吃一惊。他们帮了我很多。由于他们的帮助，我的英语口语变得越来越好了。我不知道如何感谢他们。不断的学习也让我很开心。

篇三十五：英国职校 Vocational Schools in England

 

   In England, children always begin to go to school at the age of five or six. After finishing their ninth grade, some of them go to high school to continue their further education, and some of them go to vocational school to learn some practical skills.

   在英国，孩子们在五或六岁的时候就开始上学。完成九年纪的课程后，他们中的一些人会去高中继续深造，他们中的一些人会到职业学校学习一些实用的技巧。

   Vocational schools are much more interesting than high schools, for there are many different classes in the school, like mechanics, electronics, car-repairing, computer-programming, nursing, accounting, and so on. At vocational schools, students usually have classes in the morning, while in the afternoon; they often go outside school to practice. Some of them work as cashiers in the shops; some of them work as waiters or waitresses in the restaurants; some of them work as tour guides to show the visitors around the city. Sometimes they also go to the factories. The old workers often teach them how to operate the machines. Most of them are very hardworking. When they graduate from school, they will have gained some work experience, so they will have more opportunities to find a good job.

   职业学校比高中有趣多了，因为学校里有许多不同的课程，如机械，电子，汽车修理，计算机编程，护理，会计等等。在职业学校，学生通常在早上上课，而在下午；他们经常去校外实践。有些人在商店做收银员；有些人在餐馆做服务员；有些人做导游带领游客参观城市。有时人也去工厂。老工人经常教他们如何操作机器。他们中的大多数都很努力。当他们从学校毕业的时候，他们就获得了一些工作经验，这会使他们有更多的机会找到好工作。

篇三十六：西方国家的饮食文化 Food Culture in Western Countries

   In England, people always have some bread and milk for breakfast on weekday which is always in a hurry. But on weekends, breakfast is a big feast with bacon, porridge, coffee, eggs, toasts, cakes, and so on.

   在英国，人们总是在工作日的时候匆匆忙忙的吃一些面包和牛奶来当午餐。但在周末，早餐是非常丰富的，有培根，鸡蛋，粥，咖啡，面包，蛋糕等等。

   As for lunch, it's always so simple. People usually have a sandwich or a hot dog. Some people also eat in a fast-food restaurant nearby. This meal won’t last very long.

   至于午餐，却总是那么简单。人们通常吃一个三明治或热狗。有些人在附近的快餐店吃。这顿饭不会持续很长时间。

   Dinner is the biggest meal with potato, beef, chicken, soup, and some desserts. At this meal, people usually sit around the table and talk about their daily events. This is the best time for family gathering.

   晚餐是最丰富的有土豆，牛肉，鸡肉，汤，和一些甜点。在这顿饭中人们通常坐在桌子旁边谈论他们的日常活动。这是家庭聚会的最佳时间。

   Cheese is the most popular food in European countries and the United States. According to different dishes and wine, different cheese is tied in. The simplest cheese is to put a certain amount of all kinds of cheese on a plate, called cheese dish.

   在欧洲国家和美国奶酪是最受欢迎的食品。根据不同的菜肴和葡萄酒，奶酪是不同的。最简单的奶酪是把各种芝士按一定数量放到一个盘子上，叫做奶酪盘。

   Jewish usually eat apples with honey on New Year's Day, in order to celebrate the happiest New Year.
