    My friend’s name is Lily. She is my deskmate. She has long hair, black eyes and a beautiful looking. She is not too tall or too short. It is well-known that she is kind and nice, because she always help other people. Of course, she helps me a lot. She is good at study, especially in English. Because she lives near my home, we often go to school and go home together. We also do homework and play together. We are good friends forever.
    我朋友的名字叫莉莉。她是我的同桌，她有一头长发，黑黑的眼睛，美丽的长相。她既不是很高也不是很矮。她人很好是总所周知的，因为她经常帮助别人。当然，她帮过我很多。她学习很好，特别是在英语方面。因为她住得离我家很近，所以我们常常一起上学一起回家。我们还一起写作业一起玩。我们永远都是好朋友。

篇十一：包饺子 Making Dumplings

   In my hometown, there is a tradition that every family would keep—making dumplings. We usually make dumplings on the last day of the lunar calendar and eat them on the New Year’s Eve. We roll the dough into pieces and prepare the stuffing. And then we can make dumplings. There is an important thing need to do in this period. That is we usually put coins into some dumplings. Those people who eat the dumping with a coin in it will get the best wishes for the next year. The final step is boiling the dumplings. At this time, all people are waiting for the dumplings. For us, it’s the best New Year’s Eve dinner.
   在我家乡，有一个每家每户都保持的的传统，那就是包饺子。我们通常会在除夕当天包饺子、吃饺子。我们擀面皮，准备饺子馅儿，然后就可以开始包饺子了。在包饺子时，一定要做的一件事就是把硬币放在一些饺子里，谁能吃到馅里有硬币的饺子意味着在新的一年里好运连连。最后一步就是煮饺子，这时候，所有人都在等饺子出锅。对于我们来说，饺子就是我们最好的年夜饭。

篇十二：什么是成功？ What Is Success?

   What is success? I think different people will have different answers. Some people think that success is earning a great deal of money or working in the government. Or success is nothing but we look for all the time. In my opinion, success is quite simple. It means you can live the life you want and you can feel happiness very often. Sometime, money cannot bring you happiness or satisfaction, and you can’t have the feeling of success. Because money is just the tool to achieve your goal but never the goal. Therefore, looking for what you really want and then work hard for it. Then you are close to success.
   什么是成功？我想这是一个仁者见仁智者见智的问题。有的人认为，赚很多的钱或者在政府部门任职就是成功，又或者成功并不是什么东西，但我们却对它孜孜以求。我认为，成功很简单，那就是你能过上你想要的生活，并能常常感觉到幸福。有的时候，金钱并不能带给你幸福感或满足感，那也就不能感觉到幸福了，因为金钱只是你实现目标的工具而不是终极目标。因此，知道自己想要的，然后为之努力，那你也就离成功不远了。
